new addition..

Hi there,

the summer is slowly coming to an end, my vacation is soon to start (finally) and I'm getting a cold, carrying a sore throat with me for the past three days. I caughed all night so I did'nt get much sleep last night, leaving me feeling like shit this morning. So I called in sick - and finally I've taken some time to add a few words and pic to my blog.

I decided to write in english - sorry - but my friends are everywhere and it is THE universal language after all.

I've been to a really great exhibition of Gerhard Richter in Baden-Baden. Sorry, should have told you earlier, it's not on anymore. Instead though is an exhibition of artists and their sculptures. Seems very interesting too. You will see Picasso paintings and his scuptures, Max Beckmann, Chagall, Miró, Matisse and others. The exhibition is at the Frieder Burda Museum.

Tibet - the subject is very hot at the moment, with Olympia in Peking and all the protests to free Tibet. Actually, it really stroke me when I first heard about the injustice and killing that happend in Myanmar. I've always tended towards Buddhismus eversince the first time I've been to Thailand and I've read a few books written by Dalai Lama. But when I saw the pictures of the killings of innocent peaceful monchs I started looking deeper into the subject. All the things happening to Tibet and their people in China... Well, this is a situation that should never be forgotten. I've made my own protest statement with this picture. It's a mix of collage and painting, a technique that I might work more with in the near future. I already have some ideas..
