my lates product

When I experimented with this old screenprint home set I bought at a flee market I got really frustrated cause I only had one screen and wanted to go on without destroying my initial first layer I have handpainted (nowadays it is photoprinted on it). So I had to think of another way to continue with my idea of setting a mark for the great Dalai Lama. I decided to stick with the screen print look and go back even further to reverse glass painting. Only I used plexi glass instead. It was a lot of work but worth all the time I've put in. Have a look at varieties of my first picture. The background is transparent so one can choose the different "behinds". More will follow for a series.

(never mind the reflections ;-)

Gerhard Richter

I've went to the exhibition "painted photographies" in Leverkusen (sorry, it is over now) but still, I wanted to share some of the pictures I took because I think they are sensational! They showed a series of over 500 and - of course - the paint drops and paint prints were all well and thoroughly set, not just dropped and there wherever they fell (by the way, today is Jackson Pollock's Birthday). And the pictures too were at some stage especially selected for the paint to be set on as you could see on a series of three, where you could see 3 same pictures of backyards of old industry buildings with greyish sky - just the paint on top was different everytime. He even took a photo of one of his candle paintings and added color to it. I especially like the picture at the very bottom: The paint looks like a huge piece of fabric swooshing by with the wind. See for yourself:
