Berlin Calling...

..I'm talking about the art of making good films - good German films actually. I went to the Film Museum in Frankfurt on Sunday night and took the chance to see the introduction of the new film by German producer Hannes Stöhr "Berlin Calling". Even if you are not a techno fan - it's a must-see-movie!! The DJ Paul Kalkbrenner is acting the role of a famous DJ jumping from one rave to another, getting too envolved with drugs, ending up in the psychiatric clinic, and trying to get a grip on his life.. He is of course playing his own music in the film and it rocks!. A film both funny and soo tragically realistic. Afterwards we stayed for the interview with Hannes Stöhr - and to win one of four soundtracks of the film, which is not available at the stores yet. And guess what - I won the fourth CD, with the right answer to the questions about the name of his brother...

See for yourself and have a glimpse at the clips as well:

Actually, the film was very inspiring, my boyfriend thinks about buying another synthesizer and remixing early techno sounds, I'm thinking about the next chance to go clubbing and dancing to the hectic beats of Techno again like I used to, maybe having an exhausting weekend in Berlin...

Hannover Goes Fashion

Hello there,

hannover goes fashion - what does that mean? You have to see for yourself!

Well, I went to visit a good friend of mine and took the opportunity to check out three of ten museums that offer exhibitions on the subject fashion. I went to see the first sculpture and installation art works of the former fashion designer Helmut Lang - wow! I went to see fashion, inspired by egypt mummies and ancient greek findings, by Rokoko porcelan, I even tried on the so-called "Reifrock" - that cage underneath the skirt that women wore at that time - what a different feeling! all designed by fashion students - really creative stuff; and I went to the Burda Museum to see the paintings, photographies and installations regarding the fashion industry. Actually I can recommend all of it - I'm sure there is more interesting stuff to see.

And if you live in the area of Nienburg, treat yourself with a yoga class, held by my lovely friend:

Hannover is actually an interesting city, lots of parks, nice museums, good bars and so much more to offer than just the Cebit... If you get a chance, check it out!
